Phonq is free and open source. This page collects the licenses for the platform's own code and for the music we stream.
Software license
The Phonq platform (the code in the GitHub repository) is licensed under the MIT License.
You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish and distribute the software, in source and binary form, free of charge, provided the copyright and permission notice is included in substantial portions of the software.
The software is provided 'as is', without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
Music license
All music streamed on Phonq is licensed under Creative Commons by the artists who publish it on Jamendo. The specific license for each track is shown on the track and may be one of several CC variants (e.g. CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC BY-NC).
Phonq does not own this music and cannot grant additional rights beyond the license the artist has chosen.
Trademarks
Phonq and the Phonq logo are trademarks used to identify the platform. Other product names and logos referenced here belong to their respective owners.
Third-party software
Phonq is built on open-source libraries including Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, Prisma and Auth.js. Each library retains its own license; see their respective repositories for details.
